How Trustap works
The same page for every customer. No filtering.
One page, two choices
When someone taps a Trustap stand, they see one page with a button to leave a public Google review and a box to send the business a private message. Both are on the same screen, in the same order, for everyone.
Nothing is filtered by rating
The page never asks for a star rating first, never reads what someone types, and never changes what it shows or where the review button goes. A customer who had a bad experience reaches Google in exactly the same number of taps as one who had a great one.
Private messages stay private
A message sent through the private box goes only to the business owner. It is never posted anywhere, and leaving one does not stop anyone from also leaving a public review.
Why it's built this way
Steering happy customers to public sites and unhappy ones elsewhere is called review gating. It misleads the public and is prohibited under Google's review policies, the US FTC's rule on consumer reviews, and Australian Consumer Law on misleading conduct. Trustap is built so it cannot do it.
No personal information is collected from a tap. A random visit id cookie, kept for one day, stops the same phone being counted twice.
